QuadZilla Staged Fact Sheet
QuadZilla Staged will be four consecutive 125 mile rides. Shorter options of about 100 miles are available. Day 2 can be much shorter as a ride around Canandaigua Lake. Bag sag will be provided to each evening’s official motels. QuadZilla logo swag and a post-ride pizza and beer party are included in your registration fee.
What: A 500 mile (shorter options available), endurance event encompassing all 11 of the Finger Lakes.
When: Thursday July 28 to Sunday July 31, 2016. Start time each day is 7am.
Where: The start location is Wegmans Market on Rte 13 in Ithaca, NY. The Meadow Court motel is across the street, 800-852-4014, for Wednesday and Sunday accommodations. Register with your credit card today. A Super 8 and Hampton Inn (recommended) are close by but possibly more expensive. Make these reservations ASAP! Cost: $240. includes bag sag, map of all area roads, cues, rest stop snacks, post party, QuadZilla logo mementos. use Active for credit card registrations with No Service Charge!! Or use Registration Form and return it promptly with your check.
Refund Policy: Partial Refunds of $150 allowed until 7/14/16. Transfers are allowed until two days before the event, $10 transfer fee. No refunds on QuadZilla jerseys, they will be mailed after the event.
Motel Arrangements: The overnight motels are located in Canandaigua and Auburn, NY. Canandaigua will be used twice with Day 2 being a loop ride out to Letchworth State Park.

Registration & Bike Inspection: Registration will take place at the Meadow Court motel on Wednesday from 5-8pm.
And beginning at 6:am Thursday at the designated Wegmans parking area.
Time Limit: We will follow standard brevet time limits for controls/rest stops (~ 10 mph). You will receive all four cards at registration. These are for your own benefit to keep you on track to finish above 10 mph average.
Bag Sag: Single duffel bag (please label bag) will be sagged to the official hotels in Canandaigua , Auburn and back to Ithaca. One bag per person, no bike boxes, wheels, etc. Canandaigua will be used as the sleep stop on TWO consecutive days so your bag will stay in your room while you ride the Day 2 looped route.
Course Profile: GPX routes will be available. Start to Canandaigua: encounter numerous climbs of 800 to 1500 feet. Canandaigua to Canandaigua: many more tough, steep climbs then ending with choppy rollers. Canandaigua to Auburn: rolling terrain with a new extended route to Lake Ontario and Fair Haven Beach SP with less climbing. Auburn to Ithaca: more climbs with one climb in particular being extremely steep and this will be noted on the cue sheet. We recommend a 39x26 or a triple. Total climbing is over 30,000 ft. so be prepared.
QuadZilla Staged Notes: At the start of each day we’ll have an information/question meeting at the start locations: Ithaca—Wegmans, Canandaigua—Super 8, Auburn—Days Inn. If needed, there can be cuts that will bring each day to about 100 miles, even less on Day 2 and 3 We’ll list restaurants for dinner in Ithaca, Canandaigua and Auburn in coming emails. All restaurants will be within walking distance of the official motels. Ithaca has an eclectic Commons area closed to traffic, Canandaigua and Auburn have historic Main Streets to stroll. Canandaigua also has a nice waterfront area to sit or stroll. There is an information checkpoint in Letchworth SP on Day 2 where you will be required to answer a question on your brevet card from information on a historical plaque. Pre and post century rides with maps and cues starting from Ithaca are available. Pizza and beer party at the finish at the Meadow Court in Ithaca!!
